In my workshop I make handmade objects. These can be shoes, bows, dresses, chairs, etc. A variety of materials and glues are used. Most of the items I make are for myself and my family.
Making a handmade armchair from bent wood
In this video you can see how an armchair is made. Most of the steps are carried out by hand.
The work is varied and ranges from the armchair frame made of bent and glued ash wood, to the upholstery straps made of flax and the sewing of the upholstery cover for the foam cushion.
I had wanted to build an armchair for our living room for a long time.
There was still some ash wood left over from the bucket project ua-cam.com/video/ArbURr_T9Og/v-deo.html. The armchairs have now been made from this.
It wouldn't have been worth making the bending and gluing moulds for just one armchair, so I ended up making two identical armchairs.
I filmed the first armchair. With number two, additional film material was added.
I completely assembled the wooden parts of the armchair once to determine the lengths of the upholstery straps before rounding the wooden edges. I don't show this part in the video, however, as I want to keep the suspense about the appearance of the chair until the end.
Have fun....

A women's boot completely handmade from the last construction, pattern to the shaft construction to the finished boot. The complete manufacturing process can be seen in this video. The ankle boot is made entirely from leather and traditionally welted by hand. The joint spring (supporting the arch of the foot) is made of beech wood. The boot was a challenge for me, as it was the first time I had...

Make a waterproof bucket entirely from wood. No glue. No metal. You can see the whole making process, with many details, in this video. I do most of the work by hand. Special attention is paid to the horizontal wooden rings that hold the whole bucket together. The production of the groove plane for the bottom is also shown briefly in the video, as you can hardly buy these any more. Building a w...

Do you sell it?
The technique of gluing the horn of a water buffalo and the leg tendon of a cow can be seen in the traditional Korean bow-making technique, and the bow-making process is all done using traditional methods. It is being introduced as a technique for making Turkish traditional bows, but I have not yet seen the manufacturing process for Turkish traditional bows. Mongolian and Chinese bows are similar to Korean bows, but the process and materials are different. This is because the technique has been a national secret in Korea for a long time, and the production method and bow use method were not leaked to foreign countries.
Are you taking orders on such a bow ? how much would one such bow be?
Respect for the master. Filigree work!!!
aww.. too much of work involved
That video answered so many questions I had about bow making. Excellent.
masterpiece

travail superbe , bravo
Are you in the USA? Do you mind sharing what region you are in? I would custom shoes. I have such a hard time finding a comfortable wide width. Can this be a self taught skill? I was very skilled cabinet maker in my day. I know have the mind set to learn this. I would learn just to make my own shoes. Is it hard to make your own last, or do you need assistance?
What's that concoction you pour in the mould at 2:48 to make the shoe last ?
Best video I’ve watched to date. Great work!
Hi Andi, this chair you build and the technics you used are extraordinary. We would like to show part of your videos in a video report about your channel. We will add your link and name, and your work will be mentioned in the video. Please let us know what you . Keep it up like this!
Question: What does the (honey?) do in the hide glue when you are gluing the birch bark? Thanks for the awesome and amazing build!
The honey makes the glue a little more flexible once it has dried.
@@andiswerkstatt-ow4uw Thank you very much!
This is fantastic!
❤❤❤ Amazing video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. 🏹🙋♂️ I was about to ask if you make bows for sell but I read you don't in the description...
It's hypnotic that hand-make process
Pure craftsmanship. Thank you for sharing. Very informative indeed.
The ancient hungarian bow is like that also?
Bogenbau vom allerfeinsten
Greetings from Mongolia. Our traditional bows are made with same technology but glues were fish skin glue. Longest shot was made +500 meters with the Mongolian bow. Good luck 😁😁
making a bucket out of wood that is porous is rather stupid. it wont last forever
Beautiful mister, nice skills.
Why did i read birch mark as bi*ch mark??? Do i need a therapy?

Vielen Dank für den Film! ❤
Very nice
Some of the shiniest wooden tools I've ever seen 😊 (Yes, I know what the title actually means. It's a joke).
You said without metal and the first thing you use is a metal saw.
Bro odar
This is a perfectly made Turkish read. Congratulations bro, it was very nice. The biggest feature of the arrow. Shorter arrow assignment in castle attacks, so the castle soldier cannot use the arrows thrown at the castle. And their arrows are running out, but the Turks' arrows didn't end. 🎉
Now the War of the Bucket sounds less ridiculous.
I misread the title. I thought it said "Making a Horn Blow", I did watch this video all the way through though.
That is very good for you, though.
I watched with admiration. But you are shooting the Mediterranean way. If you shoot with the Central Asian Turkish style, it will go many meters further.
